= темновая репарацияточное ферментативное замещение поврежденных или измененных оснований на одной нити двухцепочечной ДНК, возникающих в результате температурных флуктуаций (ведущих к депуринизации) или УФ-облучения (с образованием пиримидиновых димеров). Различают Э.р. оснований (base excision repair, BER) и Э.р. нуклеотида (nucleotide excision repair, NER); напр., Э.р. оснований начинается с узнавания и удаления неправильных оснований вместе с близлежащими 2—10 н., затем ДНК-полимераза застраивает "брешь" правильными основаниями по матрице комплементарной нити ДНК, и вставленные основания присоединяются (лигируют) к 3'-концу прилежащих оснований ДНК с помощью лигазы. Э.р. нуклеотида происходит при возникновении пиримидиновых димеров или других объемных образований в ДНК, нарушающих структуру спирали; в этом случае поврежденный участок удаляется в составе фрагмента длиной в 30 н.Толковый биотехнологический словарь.
